The most important relationship in any family is the couples relationship. As a couple, you may encounter tensions arising from parenting styles, communication barriers, financial disagreements, or differing desires and expectations around intimacy and life’s major transitions. These challenges can create misunderstandings and conflicts that may leave you feeling disconnected, longing to rekindle that deep connection you once cherished.
Individual struggles such as anxiety, depression, or a desire for personal understanding and resilience can add layers of complexity to family dynamics. You may find yourself searching for ways to better understand yourself and others, striving to navigate life’s hurdles with greater ease and confidence.
For parents, watching a child or teenager navigate their own challenges, from academic pressures to social dynamics, can be particularly stressful. You want nothing more than to see them thrive and overcome the obstacles that stand in their way. Adolescence can be a tumultuous time, and having a safe and understanding space to navigate complex emotions is invaluable.
I specialize in working with teens, individuals, couples and families. I am dedicated to supporting adolescents and their families through the challenges of teenage years. By integrating Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), I attempt to offer a comprehensive toolkit for addressing a wide range of issues adolescents, individuals and couples may face, from trauma and loss to relationship dynamics. Providing a non-judgmental space for exploration and growth fosters trust and allows individuals to develop the skills they need to navigate the complexities of emotions and relationships and adjust to life’s difficulties with greater resilience. I seek to offer a compassionate and tailored approach of understanding needs and addressing past experiences to provide a framework to build upon unique strengths and personal values to foster positive change.
I am an associate with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Gonzaga University. I have been privileged to work with adolescents providing care and support in handling anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, relationship issues, grief, trauma, substance use and self-esteem concerns. I have a deep appreciation for the unique stories and resilience of individuals. I also love helping couples create deeper bonds and connections leading to a relationship that is safe and secure. My approach is deeply rooted in person-centered therapy, emphasizing the importance of building genuine connections both professionally and personally. I specialize in EFT, DBT and TFCBT, employing a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens in therapy. I also prioritize continuous learning and development of clinical skills. I also value collaboration and teamwork, believing that a collective effort leads to the best care and that healing is a journey best undertaken together.
