You’re facing a tide of overwhelming emotions, making each day a challenge to navigate. Whether it’s in your personal life or in your relationships, these intense feelings are creating hurdles that seem hard to overcome. You’re seeking ways to manage these emotions and find a sense of balance. This journey of overcoming life’s challenges, both as an individual and within your relationships, is a path you’re ready to embark on with hope and resilience.
I’m here to help you navigate through these overwhelming emotions and the challenges they bring to your life and relationships. Together, we’ll explore strategies to manage and understand these feelings, finding a path towards balance and well-being. As your therapist, I’ll support you in developing the tools you need to face life’s hurdles with resilience and hope, whether you’re dealing with these issues individually or within your relationships. My approach is centered on guiding you towards a more manageable and fulfilling life journey.
I’m a graduate student at Gonzaga University’s Marriage and Family Counseling Masters of Art program. In addition to my graduate studies I am receiving advanced training in Emotionally Focused Individual and Couples Therapy. I receive weekly supervision by my university professors and direct supervision by site supervisor and senior therapist, Emily Seppi, MA, LMFT.
Before returning to Spokane, I spent two years at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, working with teenagers and guiding them to excel not just as artists but also as individuals. Though my professional experience is primarily with kids, I have a special affinity for working with older adults, influenced by my upbringing by baby-boomer generation parents. Living with Type 1 diabetes my entire life has given me a deep understanding of how chronic illness can affect both individual mental health and the overall well-being of a family.
I am a good fit for a wide range of clients, including couples, families, individuals, and children starting at age 6, as well as LGBTQ+ couples and individuals, and older adults.
As well as a counselor, Anna is a professional cellist and performs with the Coeur d’Alene Symphony and the indie-rock band The Bed Heads. She is also a cello instructor with the Spokane Youth Symphony.
